The adjustment of the jaw opening is instantaneous; this is not a screw vice so there are no handles to wind. Simply slide the moving jaw up to the workpiece then press the foot pedal to apply the right amount of clamping force. To unlock, push the release plate for instant release. It is as simple as that! The AEG SUPERJAW has a clamping range from 0-35 inches and the mechanism is capable of clamping forces well over 2,000 pounds. The user can regulate the pressure by applying light pressure on the foot pedal. Due to the 3 legged design, it is incredibly stable on all surfaces and can hold large and awkward pieces with the optional log gripping jaws. This AEG SUPERJAW is sold fully assembled and it is ready for use in about 20 seconds. It is easily folded for transportation and storage.
