This 4 Roll wire feed module has been specially designed and robustly built to be used with our superb range of industrial MIG welding sources. SLR Synergic Levelling Response is the next wave in top-class welding technology from SIP. In much the same way that the automatic function of an advanced SLR (single-lens reflex) camera makes it possible for an average photographer to take a very good picture, or for a good photographer to take a great picture. SIP’s new SLR system makes it easier for welding operators of all skill levels to get smoother, more consistent results in MIG/MAG welding. The operator simply chooses the welding programme from a pre-set list, according to the work piece material and wire type, then sets the output level and inductance within recommended guidelines. The SIP SLR-equipped welder will automatically handle the rest, adjusting the three key welding parameters that make for best results: - Soft start
- Wire feed speed
- Burn-back delay
During welding, the SLR system from SIP responds automatically to adjust the level of wire feed speed to compensate for possible variations in the welding process such as a slight move of the welding operator’s hand from ideal torch position, or a momentary change in the input voltage. In other words, SLR from SIP constantly acts to “level out" the fluctuations caused by the welding operator or the power supply - yielding higher, more consistent weld quality. Even expert welders will benefit from using SIP machines equipped with the SLR system, as their welding will become even more consistent, and they will save time in adjusting machine settings during set-up. As with an SLR camera, a master welder can also choose to adjust the output and inductance settings in a band of +/- X %, or can even turn off the SLR function completely when custom settings are preferred to achieve specific results and effects.- Digital electronic controls - for improved ease of use, displays both welding voltage and current.
