The planer / thicknesser is the ideal machine for working on rough-sawn or twisted timber. It offers rapid conversion from planer to thicknesser to minimise the downtime in a busy woodworking shop and has the added safety facility of a ‘mode interlock switch’ to prevent incorrect operation of planer mode when set up in thicknesser mode, and vice versa.
